Heather Summers' Simply Sunday Sketch

After a bit of a break Heather Summers is back with her Sunday Sketch Challenge.  You can check Heather's blog HERE to have a look at both the sketch and her sample.  If you scroll to the bottom of her post you will also be able to click on links to see the creations of the others who have played along this week.

I am not sure why, but as soon as I saw the sketch I thought of the stamp set Tart and Tangy.   At first I was going to make a standard size card rather than the 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card Heather posted.  I couldn't decide what to do so I pulled out the long retired Summer Picnic DSP and the new single stamp Homemade. I had planned to use the apple stamp and the apple patterned paper in the DSP.  I remembered that my sister makes fabulous crabapple jelly and very often gives it away.  I then remembered that I had another stamp set (retired) with a small apple that I happily discovered is the perfect size for the circle punch in the Itty Bitty Punches pack.  I was all set and made a little card that would be great for giving with a jar of my sister's crabapple jelly.

This is Heather's sketch

Here is my interpretation of the sketch
