Inky Divas Challenge - Week of June 26

This week's challenge was to create some kind of slider card or one with a hidden pocket.  I decided to make a "Pop-up" slider card for my entry.

I used the June 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit for most of the elements on the card.

Paper Pumpkin June 2017 - One in a Melon

The June Paper Pumpkin kit included supplies to make 6 note cards and 4 gift bags.  I haven't yet made any of these but I have taken some of the supplies to make some alternate cards.

I started out with a Whisper White (thick) card base and started layering that with components from the kit.  The striped piece was cut from one of the bags in the kit and the piece with the fruit is the front panel from one of the note cards.  The focal panel is pretty much as shown in the kit instructions but I did add a few rhinestones and added the "it's you day!) to the bottom of that panel.

This second card is adapted from a card I saw on the Facebook group "Paper Pumpkin Fan Club" posted by MaryJo Snyder.

My third alternate is a CASE of a card Debbie Beaulieu Henderson posted in that same Facebook group.

Inky Diva's Challenge - Week of June 12

This week's challenge was to use two of the new InColours along with a new stamp set or product from the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! annual catalogue.

I had recently seen a video for a "Watercolour Smoosh" technique that intrigued me.  It is also known as "Ink Smoosh".

I used the InColours Tranquil Tide and Lemon-Lime Twist along with the Happy Birthday Thinlit.

Stampin' Supplies:
Stamps - none
Ink - Tranquil Tide, Lemon-Lime Twist
Card Stock - Lemon-Lime Twist, Basic Black, Watercolour Paper
Other - Happy Birthday Thinlit, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

Inky Divas Challenge - Week of May 29

This week's challenge was to create a fancy fold card.  Crystal's sample was a "fancy fold flap card".  My card is a variation of that.  There are lots of videos and tutorials online.  I combined several to come up with my card.

I started with a piece of Melon Mambo card stock cut to 5 1/2" x 11.  I scored it at 4 1/8" and 8 3/8".
