The challenge posted for the week of June 28 was to use a technique called Rolling Marbles and/or the posted sketch.  Not having any marbles (I lost mine a long time ago) I decided to follow the sketch.

Julie Olivier posted the challenge - you can see her card and instructions for the technique HERE.

This is the sketch Julie posted;

I decided to make it a file folder card and use some of the Bohemian DSP I received as part of a product share from Sandi MacIver.

Congrats Card

A friend is expecting her second child in October - another boy - so I wanted to make a card for her.  I saw several cards on Pinterest but the design I chose to CASE was one where I could also use my eCutter that (along with my stamping supplies) has been quite neglected recently.

The stamp used is from Sassy Salutations.  Using my Marina Mist Marker I coloured the "Congrat" part of the Congratulations stamp and stamped my paper.  After cleaning the stamp I coloured in only the "s" and using my Stamp a ma jig (positioner) stamped it at the end of the word.

I created the shape in my Silhouette Studio program using a couple of ovals, sent it to the cutter and then added texture using the Polka Dots embossing folder.  Applied it to the card and added a bit of ribbon.

Stampin' Supplies
Stamp Set - Sassy Salutations
Ink - Marina Mist
Card Stock - Whisper White; Marina Mist
Tools - Silhouette Cameo eCutter
Other - 1/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon (retired); Polka Dot Textured Embossing Folder (retired)

Inky Divas Challenge - Week of June 21

This week the challenge was for our entries to have a butterfly theme and to use at least one InColour. I searched Pinterest for butterfly themed cards and found one that I thought I could recreate using Stampin' Up! products.

This is the inspiration card.  Click here if you want more details.

Stamps - Butterfly Basics
Ink - Wonderful Watermelon; Mint Macaron (both are in the 2015  2017 InColour collection)
Card Stock - Whisper White; Mint Macaron; Basic Black

Inky Divas Challenge - Week of May 18

I know I have been absent for a long time now and hope to get back to regular posting soon.  My card today is one I did for the Inky Divas Challenge for the Week of May 18.  We were to use the "rock and roll" technique.  Check out Splitcoast Stampers for a video tutorial on this fun technique.

I decided to CASE (copy and share everything) a card I had seen on Pinterest.  The original was a birthday card but I felt it would be great as a Sympathy card as well.

Inky Divas Weekly Challenge

This week the challenge posted for the INKYDivas group was to create a Screen Divider card and use at least one of the current InColours.  I had done one at Christmas using the Ornamental Pines stamp set but this time I wanted something more Spring like.

The Butterfly Basics stamp set and matching framelits were on my table as were three of the InColours.  I just had to look up the measurements and get going.

The instructions I had used before were to use an 11 x 5.5 piece of card stock.  I decided to make mine using a piece of 12 x 6 card stock and score it at 3, 6 and 9.  The Blackberry Bliss panels measure 2 3/4 x 4 3/4 and the white panels are 2 1/2 x 4 1/2.

I used the hearts border punch for the upper edge and the decorative label punch for the bottom edge.

Supplies (all Stampin' Up!)
Stamps - Butterfly Basics; Kinda Eclectic; Gorgeous Grunge
Ink - Blackberry Bliss; Crumb Cake; Hello Honey; Mossy Meadow
Card Stock - Whisper White; Blackberry Bliss
Other - Decorative Label, Heart Border and Petite Butterfly punches; Butterfly Framelits; Stampin' Dimensionals; Basic Pearls

Happy Valentine's Day

I created this card for the Inky Diva's Weekly Challenge (Week of February 9).  The theme for the week was to create a card for Valentine's Day.  I don't have a lot of Valentine's stamps and definitely not current ones so I looked through my stamp sets, punches and supplies and came up with this card.

The stamp set I used is only available during Sale a Bration (ends on March 31).  For each $60 spent on Stampin' Up! products on orders placed from January 6 to March 31 an item can be chosen from the Sale a Bration brochure.  The Washi Tape is in the Occasions catalogue and is available until June 2.

The herringbone technique with Washi Tape was demonstrated by Stampin' Up! co-founder and CEO Shelli Gardner at the recent Leadership Conference.  It was so great that the sessions were streamed live for those demonstrators not attending the conference.

Supplies
Stamps - Simply Wonderful (Sale a Bration)
Ink - Memento tuxedo Black
Card Stock - Whisper White, Real Red
Other - Stacked With Love Washi Tape; Sweetheart Punch; Basic Pearls; Stampin' Dimensionals

JOY Wreath

I needed a new wreath for my front door but couldn't find one that I liked that would fit between my door and screen door without getting squashed.  A few days Angie Kennedy Juda posted a lovely wreath on her blog using the Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!  You can see it HERE.  She also posted one using the All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper HERE and a Halloween Wreath HERE.

I headed to the craft store in search of a 10" foam wreath but they only had a 12" one.  As soon as I got home I started cutting paper strips.  I used 28 strips.  Because my wreath was larger I found that the 2 3/8" scallop punch looked a little small so I imported the scallop circle punch, the circle punch and the letters (Timeless Type Junior Letters) from My Digital Studio to my Cameo Silhouette eCutter, resized them and cut them out.

I'm really happy with it and t fits perfectly between my doors

Supplies
Card Stock - Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper, Baked Brown Sugar, Cherry Cobbler
Other - Foam Wreath form, Stampin' Dimensionals, My Digital Studio, Cameo Silhouette, Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon, Strong Adhesive (I used my ATG), Signo White Gel Pen

Earlier this week Sandi MacIver posted a card featuring the Santa Stache stamp set and the Under the Tree Specialty Designer Paper.  Although I have most of my christmas cards already made I knew I had to do at least one of these.  I followed Sandi's sample pretty closely but decided to use a different greeting and embellishment.

Ink - Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Skin Tone and Smoky Blendabilities Markers
Card Stock - Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Under the Tree DSP
Other - Mustache Framelit, Santa and Co. Embellishments, Stampin' Dimensionals, tiny pompom (non SU), Banner Punch

Inky Divas Weekly Challenge - Week of November 10

This week the challenge posted on the Inky Divas site was to create a card using at least one stamp set and framelit or punch from the 2014 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue.  The card also had to include some sponging.

I had the Holiday Home stamp set and coordinating Home for the Holidays framelits on my table so I decided to use them for my card.

It's hard to tell in the photo but each of the houses is popped up with dimensionals.  I masked off the bottom of my Whisper White panel with a piece of torn copy paper and punched out a 1 1//4" circle mask for the moon.  I sponged the sky using Night of Navy.  The snowfall is stamped using White StazOn and a long retired stamp.  The greeting, Santa's sleigh and the snowman are all included in the Holidy Home stamp set.  The houses were stamped and then coloured with Blendabilities.  They were then cut out with the matching framelits.

Supplies
Stamps - Holiday Home
Ink - Memento Black; White StazOn; Night of Navy; Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Skin Tones Blendabilities Markers
Card Stock - Whisper White, Smoky Slate, Night of Navy
Other - Home for the Holidays Framelits, Stampin' Dimensionals, Merry Minis punch pack (retired), rhinestones

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Endless Wishes

Last year Stampin' Up! offered the Endless Wishes photopolymer stamp set but for a limited time only.  It sold out so quickly that I was not able to get the set but I did get the My Digital Studio download.  This year the Endless Wishes set was in the Holiday Catalogue so I ordered one as soon as I could.

Anne Granger shared a card using that set and it is one of the cards Judy and I made on Thursday.  You can see Anne's card HERE.

I didn't have the DSP Anne used but I did still have paper left from a package I had ordered from last year's Holiday Catalogue.

Card Stock - Whisper White, Lost Lagon, Smoky Slate, Winter Frost Specialty DSP (retired)

Colour Me Christmas

This week's visit to Judy was a pretty quick one.  Although we had planned to make 2 each of two different card designs we didn't get to the second one.

One of the stamps sets in last year's Holiday Catalogue was Colour Me Christmas.  I hadn't planned to buy the stamp set but I had participated in a fundraiser hosted by Heather Summers that featured that set and received it as part of the fee.

I had seen THIS card and thought it would be a fun one for us to make.  This sample uses StazOn ink and Stampin' Write Markers but we used Memento ink and Blendabilities for our cards.  We used the Stylish Stripes embossing folder on this card.  On the second one we used the Lucky Stars folder available in the Holiday Catalogue.

Supplies:
Stamps - Petite Pairs, Colour Me Christmas (retired but available in My Digital Studio)
Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Memento Black (with Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Blendabilities) or Jet Black StazOn (with Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Markers)
Card Stock - Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Old Olive, Be of Good Cheer DSP (retired but available in My Digital Studio)
Other - Stampin' Dimensionals, Circles Collection Framelits, Circle Card Thinlits, Stylish Stripes embossing folder, Rhinestone Jewels
