Jewelry Making

Yesterday Judy and I went to  jewelry making class here in Myrtle Beach.  It was at a place called Beach Beads - owned by Heather and Chad Samson.  We had signed up for the basic class.  Our instructor - Heather Samson - reviewed with us some of the basics before we started making our bracelets.

For the focal point on my bracelet I chose a set of 3 glass beads hand made by Heather.  They are Lampwork beads.  You can link to the Beach Beads website HERE.  With Heather's help I selected other beads to complement the Lampwork beads and set to work.  I was fortunate that my design came together quickly and I was able to complete my bracelet during the class.

Here is my finished bracelet.  The photo is not the best - I had it sitting on a table with a glass top - but you get the idea.

I wish I had thought to make coordinating earrings - I have contacted Heather to see if she could make me a pair and ship them to me.

We had a lot of fun and have decided that we'll be making more bracelets and perhaps a necklace or two.  Not sure about earrings.
