Because I Care

Because I Care is a stamp set that is quickly becoming one of my favourites.  It can be coloured in, left as an outline image and as JoAnn Pullen shows in THIS post it can be cut into smaller pieces and arranged on a card front for a different look.  You will have to scroll down through the post - Jo-Ann created a set of 5 notecards with a coordinating "purse".  Jo-Ann's sample is a note card, but Heather Summers adapted it to a full size card in her post HERE.

Both JoAnn and Heather used Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze card stock.  They also used a new embossing folder that is available in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue released on July 1.  It is called Vintage Wallpaper.  I didn't have it at the time I made this card.  I could have used my cuttlebug tapestry embossing folder in it's place, but I wanted to make the card with all SU products.

I think this will be a great card for Judy and I to make sometime soon.  For this card I decided to replace the Baja Breeze layer with Early Espresso - a deep, rich brown - and stamp it all over with the Hydrangea flower using Early Espresso ink.  The flower was stamped onto  2 x 3 pieces of Very Vanilla and then cut into one inch squares which were then assembled randomly in the bottom corner of the Early Espresso layer.  The base card is Very Vanilla.  Both the line of tiny flowers (one stamp) and the sentiment are included in the Because I Care stamp set.

I also stamped the inside of the card.  Using Early Espresso I stamped the Hydrange over the fold.  Not sure that I am totally happy with it, but it is still OK.  I stamped the small individual flower three times in the bottom corner.
